I live in St Giles Division ( Glebe/Abbey Wards Lincoln City) and was elected as County Councillor on 8 May.
I walk or cycle there most days and so am in touch with the daily problems facing hard working families.
I work successfully with City colleagues on Walking Surgeries and involvement with Community Groups, in helping with residents’ issues. I worked with
Residents on Lincoln Eastern Bypass to prevent Carlton Boulevard being a cut through. The effect will be evident in weeks ahead when Hawthorn Road is
I have ensured that safe footways on strategic routes to shops and hospital are resurfaced eg Outer Circle last year and Wolsey Way and Nettleham Road currently.
I will be starting Walking Surgeries in St. Giles to ensure that all of the Division is inspected by councillors. This will enhance the current Surgeries and ensure residents have opportunities to speak about issues on their street.
I worked in local government for 32 years and now most of my time is devoted to serving Lincoln St. Giles, and Lincoln Labour Party.
I am a lifelong Trade Union Member of the Musicians’ Union and Unison.
I am married to Judy and have 3 sons, 3 grandsons and enjoy Big Band Music, keeping fit, and caravanning.
